Puerto Rican Power orchestra was founded at the beginning of the 70’s, by Jesus "Chy" Castro. In 1978, Luisito Ayala acquired the orchestra’s rights, becoming then it’s director and trumpet player. For more than 30 years, Puerto Rican Power has performed for and with Fania’s stars such as Ismael Miranda, Cheo Feliciano, Celia Cruz and Hector Lavoe.
